My name is Christina Bauer – I grew up in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, surrounded by nature that constantly amazes me. Photography touched me even as a child: the feeling of being able to capture a fleeting moment forever – a glow, a mood, something that words cannot convey.

My motifs tell of the stillness of the landscape, of the breath of the water, of the fog that settles over a still lake in the morning, of the light that transforms a mood for a heartbeat – of wild animals in their natural world and of the small, often overlooked details that make the big picture visible.

I don't just look for the perfect picture – I look for the soul behind it.
